How McDonald's Can Help You To Lose Weight
I was truly amazed
Over the last few years, I have battled to keep my weight under control. My doctor at the hospital even prescribed some foul-tasting Chinese brown powdery thing to take after a meal, but progress was slow.
Being six foot one inch tall, my ideal weight is between 78–82kg. However, for far too long it has been hovering at about 87.70kg. That is until today.
It’s been a very busy three days having to deal with a rather taxing legal problem involving the theft of a very large sum of money from my mother’s estate by a member of my own family, who tried to hang it on me before he passed away in 2023.
A year ago I sent my case to the courts and was advised to expect a delay of about 35 weeks. By week 40 I still hadn’t heard back from the courts and called them about it. It turns out that my case papers have been lost by the court system and I had to do the whole thing all over again. Dang and blast the incompetent swine.
Today, I finally managed to get three copies of a 20-page document ready for posting. However, by the time I was able to get it sent off, I had only managed to eat a small Mac fries with a small cafe latte as I winged through my day. I was still hungry afterwards but ran out of time and decided to wait until this evening.
When I came out of my customary shower I stepped on the scales and was amazed to see my weight had dropped two kg, from 87.70 to 85.70kg! Now I have to be honest, I eat very little junk food, maybe once a week I have a homemade burger without the bread or half a medium-sized pizza.
As for McDonald’s, I last had a Big Mac about thirty years ago after which my gut reacted so badly that I swore I would never eat another. Ever after that, the only two things I would consume are a Mac small fries and a cafe latte. I never thought for a moment that McDonald’s could form part of a healthy diet. I am now tempted to have McDonald’s fries only for lunch for the next few days and see if that weight loss continues.
I should add that I also put in my usual stint of walking and cycling before and after my health-conscious heart attack in a brown paper bag. But I have done a lot more exercise than that with negligible weight loss. At this rate, I should hit my target weight in two or three days. It will be such a relief to get my apparent beer belly down. I hardly ever drink the booze being more of a wine fan, which only amounts to three small glasses of red a week.
This leaves me wondering where all the surplus visceral fat comes from. I am seventy years old and eat a healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Hardly a day goes by without me taking some form of rigorous exercise. My heart doctor recently told me that tests indicate that I have the legs of a fit and healthy forty-year-old man. The same pretty much goes for the rest of me, apart from my fat belly. If only to stop other men asking me “When is the baby due?” I will be so happy to see the last of my Micheline.
