Start learning AI in 2025
Everyone talks about AI, but no one has the time to learn it. So, we found the easiest way to learn AI in as little time as possible: The Rundown AI.
It's a free AI newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on the latest AI news, and teaches you how to apply it in just 5 minutes a day.
Plus, complete the quiz after signing up and they’ll recommend the best AI tools, guides, and courses – tailored to your needs.
One of my favourite AI apps is Canva. I use it mostly for the book covers for my self-published books, on Amazon. Today, I decided to see if I could create a design for a kitchen at home. You can see the result above.
The great thing is that I can use the text-to-image feature, which means I can type in a brief description of what I want. In this case, I typed ‘Home Kitchen Beach Club Vibe,’ and it gave me exactly what I had in mind.
Then I decided to see what I would get if I asked for something more esoteric. So I asked Canav to create a graphic illustration of the neural pathways of the human brain. Here is what I got.
As you can see, AI can produce pretty much anything, from a new kitchen to a brain. That set me to wonder how far can we take AI in terms of human development. By pure chance, I came across something called FinalSpark. The people involved are attempting to grow biological neural networks.
‘The human brain is a powerhouse, boasting 86 billion neurons and using only 20 watts of power for efficient computing. Replicating this kind of efficiency with silicon would require a whopping 10 megawatts of power, according to Stanford University's Kwabena Boahen.
We’re creating the solution with biological neural networks. We’re growing neurons in cell cultures and making great progress in their use as computing power. Creating large networks is challenging and yet, our bio lab is actively working towards replicating and surpassing nature's success with limitless potential for enhancing life on earth. The possibilities are very exciting.’
Maybe the day will come when we will be able to plug our brains into a computer which will be able to electronically read our minds and transmit our ideas to a supercomputer which will transform them into three-dimensional objects which can be scaled up in size and quantity, such as a design for a new mass-produced car to be, for example. It doesn’t matter whether you’re simply a hobbyist, a handyman Dad, or a fully-fledged professional designer, AI has got everything you need. The only limit is our imagination. The future is bright, the future is AI.
